Well IMO, the best way to get a hold of someone is to call, not email. I bet they get a ton of email every day and it probably isnt easy respongding to all of them. Who knows, maybe they are having problems with email or something.

Or, just make the call. E-mail and certainly PM are the leas effective means to communicate with anyone, especially on any business topic.

Try to remember that Steve is 19 years old and this isn't his primary job as of yet. At least his website is still up and running

I just placed an order for an intake from him too. I hope it doesn't take forever to get it. I ordered his intake because of the price. I'm not sure was that the right choice or not.

What kind of a problem are you having? As for placing an order, I did just that Oct 31st and have yet to receive what I ordered. They did tell me the Apexi filters are on backorder, but a month now?

I guess all we can do is continue to wait and see...

I had questions.

hmmm......

i was about to order a frankencar, but this post seems to make me not want to order one anytime soon.....whats the deal? does everyone have these kinda problems with frankencar?? i think is like the 2nd or 3rd post ive just happened to see something about ordering and shipping problems with frankencar......i might hold off on ordering for a while, or might even try to decide on a different intake all together...like the new firm fabrications with integrated MAF and stuff......anyway...keep me posted, i dont wanna be a future victim of this kinda stuff either...

There is some kind of strike going on the docks. From what I've read, it appears that nobody is getting the Apexi filters until the strike is over.

Re: hmmm......

tsk tsk tsk. I say go to a nearest race shop near you and buy INJEN CAI. For 260 dollars, they'll have it installed the same day you bought it.

Steve was good to me. Responsive and timely. In addition, he has been a contributor to the .org. His business grew out of the .org community.

I hope everything is resolved to your satisfaction. Steve seemed like a straight shooter.

Woke this morning to 4" of snow with alot more coming. Tried to make it to work (34 miles away!) and the Max just wouldn't stay steady on the stock tires. Decided to come back home and accept defeat, first non-vacation day of work missed in several years.

Anyway, check my email and had a response from Frankencar. Seems Steve is trying his hardest to get the Apexi filters in, even going to suppliers other than his regular. He even went so far as to contact Apexi directly with no success. Looks like he is doing all he can at this point and I hold no fault with him.

Frankencar... still has my vote of confidence.

92 SE-R: when did you order the intake? I emailed him too, but didn't get a reply yet. I know I just ordered the intake last week, I still want to get an idea of how long I would have to wait.
