Need Mods. Please Help!!

Hello Fellow Max dudes,

Just bought a 03' Titanium Black Max. I love it.

I would like to get another 20-30HP out of it. Do you pros have any ideas. I heard about a y-pipe and Frankencar Air Filter.

Also, I heard the vid clip on FrankenCar's web site. Is that just the filter/midpipe that is causing that awesome sound?

Thanksss.!.!.

Just a few suggestions here: I think you should first concentrate in the handling department of your car such as: FTSB/RSTB/RSB/Springs & shocks???
Then wait a couple of months and see what NISMO will offer with their factory support products (will not void warranty) to enhance our VQ35 engine. It's a safer bet IMHO.

Good luck with Frankencar. I placed an order and they took my money back in August. I haven't seen anything yet. After several inquiries, i asked for my money back. Haven't seen that either.

Thanks for all the responses guys. So the Frankencar is a bad idea? Waiting for Nismo is a good idea but I think they will be major $$$.

Well, with the stock 255hp (question?) isn't it plenty enough to get around in the meantime? I prefer to wait for the Nismo products for the advantages:
-won't void warranty (less hassel w/the dealer when in need to do warranty repairs).
-better built quality with no major issue w/the installation (similar with Stillen products vs the Ebays or lesser brand name) since they probably spent more times with R&D.
-more realistic dyno results.

Nismo is a well know name in Japan for racing, similar to AMG's for Mercedes or Nuggen for Honda...I just hope that Nissan won't back down on their promises!

Yeah, I know...still am optimistic. If Nissan really want to make more $$$ and built better reputation w/the aftermarket enthusiasts. They better jump in mods bandwagon scene soon. Mazda & Acura recently introduce some models w/factory aftermarket installed.
