Electrical Help Needed

Electrical Help Needed
I'm attempting to install a daytime running lights kit.
The kit has four wires:
* black - to ground
* red - to the plus battery terminal
* blue - to fuse at fuse panel controlled by ignition (a/c, radio, wipers)
* green - to low beam wire
There are three wires to each headlight bulb: green, blue, and orange.
Questions:
* Which wire should the kit's green wire be attached to (green, blue, or orange)?
* Can I just put the kit's blue wire in the fuse box secured by one of the fuses?
* If the blue wire is connected to a power source, why is there a red wire attached to the battery?
Thanks for any help with this.
