How the hell do you change the rear marker light on a 2000?

The left rear marker light is out.. think i can access it easily?
if it was summer, no problem.. but it's winter, it's freaking cold, and i dont wanna spend half an hour out there just trying to figure out how to change the bulb. i think i found some pics on how to do it, but the pics themselves were no longer hosted it looks like.. so i can't see what to do.. can anyone point me in the right direction? this stupid bulb is getting on my nerves..

thanks in advance fellas.

If you are talking about the rear bumper light it is fairly simple.

You have to pop it out with a screwdriver wrapped in a towel so you dont damage the paint. And from there you can change the bulb easily.

So you have to do this from the outside?
how many clips are there? just pry from one end and then the other?
you know.. i really love the Maxima, but that is a STUPID idea.

There is a clip on one side and sort of like a plastic bracket that holds on the inside of the bumper on the other side.

All you got to do is get the side with the plastic clip and just pop it out on that side and the whole things comes out. I think if I remember correctly it is the side with the flat side, not the small contured edge.

DO NOT try to pry it out from the skinnier side of the side marker. You will gouge the hell out of your bumper. Pry it from the side closest to the front of the car.
