alignment or tires.....??????????

Ok, as everyone on here knows I am sporting some nice stock rims with those oh so bad a$$ wheel covers....

here's my question....on those nice steel wheels are some continental tires...(yes, I know....no comments needed from the peanut gallery, they were on the car when I bought it)...

about three weeks ago I had an alignment done to correct a pretty bad pull to the left...

after the shop did the alignment they proceeded to tell me the problem was more with one of the front tires...that it was defective, and causing more of the problem than the alignment (which was true, cause after the alignment, it pulled so bad it was almost unsafe to drive)....so...

the next day I purchased a new tire....and although not 100% perfect...there was really no sharp pull anymore to either side...

now, forward three weeks to now...now the damn thing is starting to pull again....tire pressure is fine...and I would think that the alignment is ok too...but have not checked it out....

it is not pulling terribly bad...but bad enough to be annoying, and not very precise through the twisties....

SO>>> should I just get rid of these dang continentals and hope those cheap excuses for tires are the root of this evil????????

advice (friendly advice that is ) is needed....thanks...

My car also came with these "cool" hubcaps. Just FYI, the stock tires are Dunlop SP 5000s. Just get a better tire than Continental (your typical Sears brand). You dont have to get anything expensive, but something like Yokohama AVID, the set of 4 will cost you just over $200. Make sure they are installed right. Let us know how it turns out.

it seems that the weight and torque of the maxima can cause cheap tires to slip a belt. Not anything scientific, just an observsation about cheap tires on max and people with the same compliants you have.
