bk2kmax here: I have a White 2000 Nissan Maxima not many mods, intake, FSTB but it is still a Max, bought it brand new in 2000, had to be one of the first ones to buy one. Is over 108,000 K and still strong no Engine problems had to get a new tranny at 38 K but it is still running fine no problems with anything else and I was told that I have probably the highest mileage on a 2k Max in the country being serviced at a Nissan dealer according to their records.

I'm Bruce. I just purchased my '03 SE two weeks ago. I live near Harrisburg, PA. The car is a Sheer Silver 6 speed with the TE, ME, LP, and HLSD options. Love the car so far. No mods yet but would like to do something about the Bose Stereo first. It definitely needs more bass. No other mods planned.

keep a close eye on the titanium tint peeling off of your Wheels...it's been a problem on the 2k3 TE SE...

I haven't noticed yet, but many others have had problems...and you'll want to get it fixed before warantee runs out...

Thanks for the wheel info. I've read that car wash chemicals are bad news for the titanium wheel finish. Any truth to that? I haven't used a car wash yet and don't intend to start but thought I'd ask. I've hand washed the car the car twice already because of the recent snows and road salt. My neighbors think I'm nuts.

 

I haven't heard what exactly was causing it...but I guess I should find out too, so I can keep it from happening to mine...
