muffler choice...need help.......

ok i am trying to decide on what kind of muffler i want.....i htought taking the stock resonator would make the stock one sound a little better but its just the same but a bit louder...so should i go with a bomb/N1 style muffler or go with a dual tip powertech style? im looking for a deep throaty tone thats not gonna be LOUD and ANNOYING as hell.....thanks in advance!

Enough with the Powertech Madness. I am the Powertech muffler king and I will remain that way.

if i ever had to get a new muffler for my 2K, wouldnt i have to get the variable output exhaust that nissan has been putting on their upscale V6 cars? If i ended up getting just a regular aftermarket muffler, would it hurt performance at all?

If you want throaty, then the import coffee cans are not the way to go. They are designed to really mellow out the sound.

If you want throaty, get a Flowmasters 40-series (2 chamber). Or, you can do what I did - Get a Flowmasters Camaro 80-series (2 chamber) muffler (inlet, dual outlets) with a 2.25" pipe connecting to that other outlet and have your shop bend it around the tire well and out the other side of the bumper. You will need to dremel out another bumper cutout. The pipe should look like a "U", around the inner side of the well. (towards front of car)
