i just use a pair of pliers - large pair of needlenose works - hold them open about an inch, insert them between two of the notches and turn.
they turn clockwise to tighten down, mine usually take about 3 revs to be all the way tight at brake-changing time.
keep in mind it takes some driving (ie: braking) for them to work back out. they don't re-adjust as quickly as the cylinders on the front after changing.
good luck!

omg it took me 2 days to change out the brake pads... :P but hey i changed it myself. if the piston doesnt go in with the c clamp twist it clockwise to get it in. open up the bleeder valve. if it still doesnt go in let it sit for a while :P come back and try again and itll eventually go in make sure you clean the brake parts with cleaner and get some anti squeal grease.. i didnt do that so i have squeaky brakes.

If this is not your first brake change, make sure you drian the master cylinder. Many shops, especially dealers, fill the MC after a brake job to make sure the peda is hard... "a hard pedal is a good thing..." (whatever).
If you don't it aint too bad, the MC will pop and you will have brake fluid everywhere. It's only extremely corrosive.
