So this weekend I had to drive first to the bay area from santa barbara up the 101- like 300 miles. Then all the way down to San Diego and back up to Santa Barbara, again 101- and th 5.

From LA down to San Diego I saw like 5 Satin Blue Maximas- since this is what I have, I would drive up and check em out... Never saw so many other Satin maximas around.

Also raced a 4th Gen which was nicely modded... I am just better at getting around traffic...

I think I'm gonna buy the Nissan pre-painted kit...

Have a good new year ya'll.

I bought mine last December and it was the first Satin Blue Pearl I ever saw. Now I've seen 3 others in my area. One is a SE. I get quite a few compliments on the color.

The satin blue is a nice color. Plus, there aren't too many of them around.

There is an older woman here in my town in her 70's that drives a Satin Blue Max GLE. Everyone else that I have seen driving that color of Max have all been women. Not to insult anyone ...just something I noticed.

I think that Mohogony Pearl is RAREEEEE. I've only seen 1 on the road. Green and blue are another one not found often, well on 2K

Around my area, Most Maxima's that I see are Black and Grey. Out of all the 5th generation's I've seen on the highway, Mohogony and Green are rare. I've seen only 1 or 2 of the red, 0 zipo zilch of the green. I've seen plenty of Satin Blue on GLE and GXE. I've only seen one SE with the 16" rims in this color.

...I think the satin blue is nice, don't care for the majestic blue on the AE. I have a 2K1 SE AE 5 speed in Merlot (the new burgundy) and haven't seen ANY max's in this color, at least on the road. The roads are saturated with grey, black, white, and, yes the blue. I like having a color I don't see on every street corner.

I cannot stand the Satin Blue color. I had a guy try to sell me one when I went over to a lot in Indiana and I just couldnt bring myself to like it. I have only seen two others in my area, one that lives close to me (SE model) and theother was just while driving on day (GXE model). Ive seen a lot of them in the 2nd gen models tho. The only blue i like on the Max is the Majestic Blue. Oh baby :-)

...I was just not taken by the majestic blue. I thought about the fact I was getting an AE that perhaps I should get it in the color exclusive to it, but, the Merlot just knocked my socks off. Plus the dealer put the gold package on there and it just looks great. I ordinarily would have cringed at the thought of owning a car with gold badging..but it really stands out on the merlot. It would look hideous on the light blue. To be totally honest...the blue is my LEAST favorite...and that coming from someone who's favorite color was blue. I think Max's really look best in the black, gray, white, red color schemes...just better suits the "personality" of the car, aggressive-like, you know.

Oh well, not to offend the baby-blue lovers...but I do tend to associate (and confirmed by the preponderance of female drivers) the color with a more passive owner...kind of weird I guess, but that's just what jumps in my mind.
