Courtesy FSTB came...couple questions

The passenger side red end plate would not fit on the strut tower's black plate because of that little crease that curves up but the drivers side was a perfectly around it. I removed both strut plates and installed the plates. Is that safe?

Did you guys with Courtesy FSTB have to do this also?

The bar itself was assembled backwards so when it was installed correctly, the letters Courtesy Nissan was upside down. I had to remove the bolts and switch sides so the letters were rightside up.

Did you guys have to do this also?

Courtesy was a painless experience. I ordred it on a Sunday, order was shipped out Monday and went UPS standard ground. Delivery date was suppost to be about a week, but I received it Thursday

Went for a test drive, OMG I new handling would be sharper and more crisper, but I didn't know it was going to be this much! I currently have winter tires it it seems alot more crisp than when I didn't have one with the stock Toyo's Also the ride has improved. It feels firmer in control, the front suspension seems ALOT more willing on big bumps with stride and less of the bumps makes it through the structure as harshness and steering kickback. Best part of all, the front wheels no longer go hoppy-hoppy over large sections of ripples and bumps felt as shudders. It just absorbes it painlessly with no aftershocks in the aging A33 platform. Man who knew a tiny bar could give you the feeling of added structural rigidity?

Next step, RSB

I don't have the Courtesy FSTB, but I got the Stillen one and didn't have any of those problems...as for the RSB and its effects, take all those comments X10 when you get that RSB...

Way back when the Stillen was the only choice the instructions said to remove the stock rings. Logically, they are just washers and replaced by the FSTB end plates. I have done a couple of Courtesy installs and would suggest you get a pair of replacement 3/8 nuts and bolts for the ends - the standard ones will probably break if you try to loosen or tighten them.

I have the same bar also on a 2000, I removed the stock rings on top of the towers completely assuming they were only there as a washer and the strut bar plates do the same thing. I have had mine on for nearly a year and have had no problems. I believe the 02 & 03 models don't even have that ring. You should be fine. Get that RSB !!!
