Speed Channel Last Night?
Speed Channel Last Night?
Anyone see it?
They had the "245hp" Altima on there and you saw a "blip" of a 2K3 Maxima story that had apparently been cut out.
Anyways, they said the Altima readers had complained about body fit-n-finish, squeeks/rattles, and paint chips. No sheeeit! Nissan apparently doesn't care about the bad rep for paint. Speedchannel(Autoweek?) reviewers even complained about the crappy cloth materials used and the roof/door seal that was about to come off. Plus, they said the V6 model Altima was a tick faster than the CL-S.
Innnteeeeresting.

I wish I had the speed channel! The Altima definately has some quality issues, but they seem to be hit and miss. The problems are not consistent among all of the cars. I think Nissan has some drunks working on their lines that GM must have fired.
I actually have a few runs in my paint, and a good deal of dirt in places. In my opinion, Nissan has gone down hill in the quality control area....But, that VQ is a dream.

Speed Channel also TNN
For all you cable guys check out Speed Channel on Sunday plus TNN for the new tuner shows which are biased towards our honda friends. The first show featured a guy that was not happy with his dyno report and in the background a 2k2 Max was sitting on the dyno perch hinting that our cars are not 255 horses which it stated. Cut to a group of guys laughing at the guy, who says he wants to get rid of his ride because he feels he got ripped on horse power and again a 2k2 Max is seen doing a burn out in the background; no respect. Sunday is the day for all these new and slanted shows on cable. Look for Speed Channel if not TNN.
it's funny, they can say he felt he got ripped off, and we don't have 255 horses. It's funny our maximas can burn any of those cheesy fugly hondas any day of the week, even without their stupid coffe can mufflers and ugly yellow stickers/rims.
I have watched those shows on TNN for the past few weeks. Very poorly done...almost porno production bad. I have yet to see a comment about a Nissan...any Nissan. Last week they had an 02 Altima that they just had all of this guy's bike leather laid out on.....never said a word about the car. How about that Nopi chick with the Big Siliconers???/ Is she dumb as a rock or what? I would rather have a girl with some knowledge hosting the show. They can't even give the illusion that she knows anything about cars
