Need help???.....Rim question.......

I might be planning on buying a set of Volk Racing GTN Rims.
Here are the specs:
18x7.5
37mm offset
215/40/18 tires
My question is. Will this rim size be a problem for daily driving? Also using a rim with a 37mm offset safe/any good? Anyone who can help a fellow member out your replies will be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

it should work, but 215's will look like bicyle tires. go w/ at least 235's if not 245's.

245's are great. I have 245/45/17 on my stock rims they will be great on your 7.5's. Go for Dunlop SP5000 or Bridgestone S03 Pole Position's. Falcon ZIEX suck.

MAXRAY & 20th maxstyle: Thanx for your replies.

Yes i was planning on swapping out the tires for either 235's or 245's. Beside the size of the rim and tires. Will running a aftermarket wheel that has an offset of 37mm be a problem? Rims experts i need your help?....

235/40/18 is out of spec for a 7.5" wide rim. I would check the FAQ about rim/tire sizes before you make that decision...

The ride on the tires you have selected may be rough and the likelyhood that you will bend a wheel is high. Try stepping up to 225 or 235.

mpc578 & T-bone: Thanx for your info about the tires.

My question is,will it be safe to run an aftermarket wheel that has an offset of 37mm?

37 offset is fine. Ive got 8 inch wide wheels with a 40 offset. With a 7.5 wide you could easily go with a 35 offset.
