I was reading the thread about rumours and thought I would share this. As a Nissan Motor Manufacturing employee I can tell you I have seen the new Altima. It is about the same size as the 4th gen. Maxima. Haven't seen new wheels yet. One had hub-caps and the other had the Q-45 wheels. One rumour we are hearing is they are trying to bring the Maxima to Smyrna in a couple of years.

We have been getting essentially the same car as the Cefiro in the Maxima...and if the Maxima is moved to Smyrna, Tenn. then Japan will probably have it's own Maxima (Cefiro). Maybe this will mean that Infiniti will no longer have to share our Maxima platform with the I30. Maybe in a few years Infiniti will have an I35 (?) that will be Japan's all new Cefiro ..while we have a Maxima that is based on the Altima platform. At least that would remedy us of one of Infiniti's flagrant platform sharing vehicles. Interesting.

From what I hear, this is the eld of life for the I30 and G20 as they will be dropped from the lineup at the end of this cycle. not sure whats gonna happin to the G20 but the I30 will be getting replaced by the XVL they showed off in detroit last year.

I remembered the XVL after I posted that. Maybe the XVL will be Japan's next Cefiro?

That guy does not work for Nissan because all his past info was flawed. He never answered our questions when we found out the real him the last time...

He is just a troll!
