2k1 Auto vs. Audi A4 1.8T

this 1.8T A4 comes up behind me after we both take a turn, i floor it, and the guy caught up to me, passed me, and we shut off at liek 80, he didnt pull that strong me, but we started when his front bumper was at my back bumper and he ended up like 1 carlenght on me. something from like 15-80. i didnt manual shift, i have an intake, but i dont know...he could been manual or had a chip. also the auto gearing is a lot better than our auto...what do you guys think

He was definatally chipped and probubly 5spd manual. Correct me if i'm wrong, but the A4 Quattro's are heavy as hell and slow. Even the bigger V6 engine is slower then the Maxima.

yep..they're heavy, espcially the new ones, but the 1.8T are kinda quick. i am pretty sure he had it chipped, i think he was an auto. he passed me like nothing. those old 2.8 V6 engines they had in them SUCK, those are heavy and slow (espcially if you got the quattro)

anyways, well, it was a nice run , too bad i lost lol...i think if i had a manaul 2k/2k1 i could have won

Yeh, 2k-2k1 auto's aren't that good I say this becuase you guys have that damn revv limiter. I bet that adds a good .2+ to your 0-60 time. But if you manually shift and time it right you can over come that.

Like your sig! Be careful, we have a guy running 10.9s @ 125+mph in a car that looks just like that. I am right around the corner from about 385 RWHP in mine.

I've ridden in the SS in my sig before and....I am most likely NOT going to beat it unless I go with the 3.125", then i'll at least have a good chance. ...just wishfull thinking.

LS1 Camaro's are definatally underrated..probubly to keep Corvette buyers loyal to the Vettes.
