bad strut?

While I was driving home from school (I95), I hit a moderate bump in the road, then i heard my back right side thump.

Now, whenever I go over any moderate bump, the back right tire lets out a loud thump. Is it a bad strut? I recently installed an RSB. could this be culprit?

Thanks

Did you have the Stillen or the Addco sway bar? Do the search, I remembered that there was a thread that addressed similiar issue regards to the suspension noise w/the rsb. I believe that the installation of the rsb was discussed as the cause of it? Good luck!

Not likely, if it where the strut, that side of the car would kinda flop around, most likely if anything, the tire or wheel have problems, that you cant see.

thanx for your responses guys. yeah, the RSB seems likely, the car doesn't flop or around or is unstable or anything. i'm going to go take a look under my car this morning.

thanx again.

I also hit a bump on I95 but my front driver side is rattling noe anytime I go over the slightest bumps. I do not have any sway bars, could it be the srut is shot?

I95 sucks, does'nt it? especially around connecticut. i also do a lot of city driving on boston, so my car sees a decent amount of abuse (boston roads are worse than NYC roads, IMO).

anyway, where is the rattling coming from? something could loose under your hood. our suspensions are pretty noisy to begin with too.

it is the driver side that is making the noise
