Rear license plate lights

One of my rear license plate lights is out. I changed the bulb but it still isn't coming on. Anyone know if there is a fuse for these lights? I looked through my fuse box but couldn't find one with a description that would be the one for them.

Do both the lights not come on? if so it might just be a short of some sort, i know im pointing out the obvious. ive never personally had this problem be4 but if no short are found why dont u try to check were the bulbs plug into? it might be fried.

Hey thanks for replying HitMan. I rarely get any kind of reply on any of my posts. Yeah, traced the wires back as far as I could. Can't see anything visually.

Probably stating MORE of the obvious, but the new bulb might be bad.

thats the reason i asked if just one worked or both were dead. but if the wires are just fine, and im sure that the fuse for those light is interconnected to more then just those two lights? so if there isnt a short then the bulb has to be fried. if it keeps frying the bulbs then there has to be a short problem somewere.
