Why do you want a 350Z / G35 Coupe??????

What's the deal with all these posts???? The Maxima is a 4 door family sports sedan. The 350Z/G35 Coupe is a 2 door, 2 seater (or 2+2) sports car. They are 2 COMPLETELY different cars so how can people be complaining that there Max is nothing compared to the 350/G35?

If you were looking for a sports car why didn't you get one in the first place? I had a 1997 Pontiac T/A with Ram Air and I couldn't stand sitting on the floor and having to lift myself out of it every time I park. The reason I bought the Max was because I wanted a comfortable ride, roomy interrior, and nice power. It is EXACTLY that. I will be throwing on my RSB and FSTB in the near future but I refuse to do anything that is going to take away the comfort of the ride.

I will admit, the 350/G35 is a really nice car but I would curse it if it was my only one and I was crammed in there on a daily basis. I love the comfort of my Max

And maybe because 6-speed Max can run with 350Z. I am still yet to race my friend's 350Z, but I think I will do pretty good. Don't want to upset him. He thinks he got a mighty sports car there

Why do I want a 350Z or G35 Coupe???

Let me say first I love my Max, but RWD and the fact that they handle much better straight off the showroom floor. Also the G35 Coupe is one fine looking car. I have been in both the G35 Coupe and the Z and did not feel cramped in either (I am 5'11" not too tall, but not short and 200lbs). If I had the cash I would have waited for the G35 Coupe for the reasons mentioned above and the Service experience. But alas I prolly spent more than I could afford to even get my Max.

i like the new 350Z/G35s better than Maxima because they're sportier, RWD, more balanced chasis and comes with more power than Maximas..

i couldn't care much for the interior space, as long as there're room for me and my gf...or another passenger...99% of the time, i'm only driving by myself or with just one more passenger..i don't really care much for my back seat.

i guess it all depends on what/how you use your car for.

Looking at the picture on your sig, it looks like you should have gotten a sports car to begin with

Your car looks phat!

Twin turbos and 4 wheel drive for that sticker - that would be an OMFG! Still, looks like it would have to be a 2nd car for me. However, I treat my Max like a 2nd car because I'm so paranoid

Ditto. The 6spd Maxima to me has plenty of power. Before I bought my 2k3 I looked at purchasing a 350Z. They had an auto for me to drive and a 6spd sitting on the floor. After driving both I chose the Maxima and I've never regreted it for one second.

I would prefer to have both.
Its difficult to verbalize, but in my case i would take a 350Z Touring over a BMW Z4 or Porsche Boxter S any DAY!!! Thats how much i like that car.

I think ya have to test drive it first... with 3 fat guys and a normal guy(G35)... and pedal to the metal... and around the curves and hills in Hawaii... and with the VDC off... then go back to your max and try to drive it the same way...

After that day... I felt really bad... like I was cheating on my max... like I committed adultery... or something...

#1 Looks better
#2 RWD
#3 Better Sports Car off the floor
#4 More Power

and the fact the most people on this board, including me, dont really see the extra 2 door on their max...or don't really consider it anything to be excited about

for the single guys...what would you rather say to a lady...I drive a G35 or I Drive a Maxima?

I don't like the 350Z...looks like Nissan threw together a bunch of cars and resulted in the Z

kinda like the Xterra!

But seriously, G35's are rear wheel drive, faster, handle much better than a max, and still have room for two in the back, what's not to like!? just because we all want a coupe doesn't mean we hate out Maximas though, I like mine

G35 sedans are basically RWD, better handling, good looking maximas, how can you NOT like em? AND no one will accuse you of having an ugly car

In my opinion the stock ones look ok, but there are a couple of small styling quirks that I am not fond of. All of which are remedied by the Nismo 350Z . That thing is so sweet. I now wish I would not have cancelled by my pre-ordered Z and bought my Max.
