Yet another GOOD Nissan service post

I just picked up my baby from Beaverton Nissan, getting a second go-around on the dreaded brake judder from warped disks (2nd time in just 11800 miles, and babied miles at that) and to counter the post below about sucky dealer service all I can say is 'there are dealers and there are dealers'...

No charges, car was washed, dried, tire shine spritzed on my beautiful Michelins, vacuumed...perfect.

And to answer the question below on the 'sucky service' post I tipped the Service Manager and the tech (the same guy who did my ignition advance about four months ago) each 10 bucks. Trust me...do that, dont act ***-holey and they remember...

2nd go around on brakes at just 11,800 miles. You have a very positive attitude. Most of us would be extremely PO'd at taking the car for service twice on the brakes at jsut a mere 11K. In my line of work taking that time off from work costs me $$$$$(ouch). I'm sure that you'll soon be needing to replace your rotors and pads, Stillen is a great aftermarket company to go with. Keep up the good attitude with those Nissan dealers, you'll need it. Get to know those service techs, YOU WILL be seeing them often.

you must be self employed. Or not worried about burning up all your vacation or flex time hovering around at the dealer.

LOL!! Nix the self-employed, just made

an appointment early & dropped the car off before going to the office-which I was gonna leave early anyway as it was New Year's Eve.

Yeah, I know...a new set of rotors/brake kit is inevitable but other than that known problem my car has been flawless so I cant complain too much.

Knowing I'm gonna keep the car for a long time, that it will be paid for in 20 months and at my rate of putting on miles it will have less than 25k miles when it is paid off, I wont mind sinking a grand on a good brake kit from Fastbrakes or Precision Brakes later this year...

Hey Galo,
I think we've got a good service/parts department. This same dealer has never given me any problems. They have done some of my mods and advanced my timing, do my oil changes with my own Mobile 1. Never a problem. BTW, my 2001 has 18k miles and nary a shudder from the brakes. Go figure. Happy New Year.
