I just bought a 2002 Maxima SE with 17" rims, and I want to buy a set of the 16" 2001 SE rims and snow tires. I know the stock tire size is 215/55/16 for that rim, but I'm having trouble finding an available snow tire in that size. Which other sizes fit? I found a great deal on some almost new Blizzaks, but they are 215/60/16. Will they fit? I believe 225/50/16 fits as well, but I'm not sure.

Please, somebody list all the tire sizes that fit that rim, including width and aspect ratio.

increase the width..if anything, reduce it. Snow tires need to 'crunch through' the snow as much as possible to get traction, given that, all else being equal a 225/50 will be much less effective in snow than a 215/55 or even a 215/60. And yes, for snow that 215/60 will be fine...it's just about four tenths of an inch larger in diameter than the 215/55, you should be fine...your speedo will be off a bit (read a bit slower than you're really going) but only about 4%...not a problem
