New Owner of 2K3 Max SE 6Spd

Picked it up on 12/31/2002 and love it. It had 6 miles on it and they did a rush job on the clean (flat bedded it over from Ohio). Got it from Continental Nissan in Coutryside IL and they were excellent - everyone from the sales to the financing to the shop. Everyone was just great to work with there.

Now that I have it, what is/are the first thing(s) that I should do? I am not talking about mods. I mean, do I get an initial wax done to protect the paint and do I get certain TSBs done since it probably hasn't been done. Things like that. Thanks and I happy to join the crowd officially.

Sounds nice! I've only had mine for a couple of weeks and I've lovin it! How about some details on the car? Color? Options?

I really dig the titanium package that's offered on the 2003, but I got a sweet deal on a leftover 2002 so I can't complain.

I was so excited just to post about the new arrival that I forgot to tell all! Well, its a 2K3 6speed Super Black with all options minus the nav. Its my first brand new car and I am excited to learn how to keep this looking brand new with the different cleaning techniques and the maintenance work, etc.

Thanks

Any suggestions on what I should definately have done since it is brand new? I was thinking more along the lines of these TSBs or Recalls. Nissan's site is down today so I can't find out if there are any recalls.

BTW - It is REALLY hard trying not to push the car before I break it in. Its just so inviting!

Hey thanks - not too many Maximas around in Merlot I don't think. I didn't really choose the color as it was the only 2002 they had left. It had all the equipment I wanted so I went with it. The color is really growing on me however. I wanted something that was gray/silver but I'm glad I didn't get one because there are sooo many out on the road. I think I've seen only a couple in my color (none being a 2002-03).

I just wish I had the traction control...these tires really suck if it's a little wet out! Treadwear of only 160? Pathetic!
