Power issues

one of my headlights went out a few days ago

the top part of the socket is totally melted off and the conductive piece is just lying there rattling around while the other 2 pieces look just fine

__
| | something like this...the top part is completely fried

does anyone have any idea on what could've caused this?

i know its stretching it but could this have been because of the UDP?
