Me VS a 2003 G35 sedan, Emax style, LOL!

I was at a red light and I saw some nice HID's come up behind me real fast, at the last second the car went into the otehr lane. So we where eye to eye at the light, I looked over and saw a nice looking silver G35 4 door with dark tinted windows. I gave a few little revs to let him know I was ready to boogy. The adrenaline kicked in, the race I have been looking for was now on! I carefully stared up at the light waiting for it to change over to green, I held the car steady at about 1700 RPM. Light turns Green and I did my usual perfect launch and I just took right off! Mean while the guy in the G35 faded away slowly, apprently he got a little to excited and gave it to much gas at the line I swiftly pulled away and by about 80 MPH he was about 3-4 car lenghts back. I chuckled to myself thinking SUPRISE! You just got owned by me and my max, lol. After reading all the columns in Motor trend and Car & diver I am sure he thought he was gonna own me. You messed with the wrong guy and the wrong max.. It's all in fun though and I mean no disrespect. I just love suprising people! It's one thing to roast a car in a Camaro, I mean it's basicly expected. But when you do it in a big old sedan it adds flavor

After that run we raced around a little bit and I just kept pulling away hard each time.

1)Your Maxima is beautiful, MUCH MUCH MUCH better looking then any G35

2)Your car is a beast, and owns all (slowmaro's, rustangs, imports)

3)Good runs!

Emax-

I'm not surprised you took that G35 pretty easily.

I've had the opportunity to race ShortChaz and his 03 G35 at the track on 5 occasions now. I've beat him every single time. On average I'm .2 quicker and 2mph faster than him. His best is a 14.8@95mph. The problem with the G35 is it's ability to get off the line hard. The drive-by-wire system causes a studder off the line therefore causing consistent 2.30 60 foots. ShortChaz's G35 is a lightweight too because it's the base model. It has 16" rims, no moonroof, no facny stereo, no leather, and no navigation. It's still a badass car though. I'd take it in a second.

you got a little something on your nose buddy, better wipe it off j/k

The G35 is hands down the better looking car (popular consensus, not biased max owners opinion)

You are comparing a stock car to a modified car. Drive down the road or go to a car show with both a stock G35 and my max. You may be suprised by the out come.

Thanks for the props guys

Hey emax95, isn't a G35 Sedan the same thing as a Max with 5 more HP and an automatic? Seems like a stick would be able to take him anyway?

Well, nice kill!

The G35 Sedan is fugly in my opinion. The Coupe has a good look, but despite the back-end of the Maxima, I still prefer its overall look (with body kit particularly...which is stock on my car) to the G35 Sedan. A properly lowered and body kit'd Maxima is the better looking car for sure.

Now, the G35 Coupe is a sweet looking vehicle, no doubt.

hmmm...

a little off topic but... i did saw my first g35 coupe in person...

last night while coming off the highway to get some fuel, had to wait at a left turn lane... was on the inside left turn lane...

while flipping the channels on the radio i looked in the rearview mirrow and there sat a red g35 right behind me... couldn't tell whether it was a coupe or sedan at first... it was lady driving so i can be 51% sure it was a autotragic.... anyway green arrow comes up and i slowly accelerate out thinking she was going to follow to get some fuel too.. but midway through the turn i looked back and she busted a U and went back towards the freeway... this was at laguna blvd and interstate 5 in elk grove/south sacramento...

The car looked sweet... it did look like it needed a wash though...

btw... good kill... i've yet to run into one that'll race on the highway...

A 5spd auto G35 put's down 10 more WHP then a 6spd maxima and it has RWD. At the crank a G35 makes about 30 more HP hten a max, don't listen to the ratings. The weight difference it slitely in the maximas favor, approx 100 lb's. Stock for stock a auto G35 is about as quick as a 6spd max. BTW I knew I was gonna woop the guy, just by how much was the question

Well that sheds some light on it! I didn't know they were rear wheel drive. Too bad they don't come in a stick. However, I didn't like it when I saw it on the road. Doesn't it look suspiciously like the new 2004 Max?
