Allright.. Got my first Mod out of the way today... Just installed Courtesy's FSTB.. Now I have a question about it.. First of all I had to bend a sensor out the way.. anyone else had that problem?? on the right side... Anyways.. the bar is kinda loose without overtighting it...Looks like it need some washers in there..Should I stick some washers in there??? Or is it supposed to move a lil????

if you got the current Courtesy bar you should not have bend or cut anything! The bar needs to be tight and you can do so by adjusting the nuts on the bar with one side off the strut tower. The only modfication I did was I hammer down a tab on the black washer so the bar can fit over it.

Apparently the black washer can be removed (Part of the install instructions for the Stillen FSTB). I've got the older courtesy bar that required I hack the airbox mount. Didn't need to bend any sensors at all.

You definately don't want any play in the bar, otherwise it won't be a "brace".

DeaZal I have a courtesy bar also but i did'nt have to bend any sensor. As for how tight the bar should be I used a torque wrench set a 35lbs.

De-install everything and remove those big, black washers. You'll have to tilt the one to get it from underneath the bracket on the one side. Then, slide the strut bar mounting plates in there (with the bar attached).

I just installed mine and didn't bang anything.

The big, black washers are replaced by the strut "feet".

You need to torque those three bolts on each side to 35 ft lbs.
