My neighbor has a late S70-T5(High Pressure Turbo)236HP Auto Trans, He upgraded the ECM in Sweden and did some trick to his turbo blades. I was convicing him to take the "grocery box" to the strip and finally he did, guess what! 14.12 @ 99.30 mph and 14.10 @ 99.50 mph and he is an average driver. My God, I thought It was going to be a good race with my Max, no way Jose. I went to see the new 2001 S60 T5 245hp,NICE CAR but it cost $45,000 here in Puerto Rico, my Y2K Max SE cost $33,000. But anyway I want to tell you guys be ware with those T5

I agree - the Volvo is a nice car, especially the T5 version. I wanted that over the Max, but we decided to go the cheaper route.

I have a coworker that has an S70 with the same mileage as my Max, and it started to develop rattles and buzzes in the dash. The guy took it in to the dealer and 3 days later, the dash was tight and quiet like it was when it was new - this plus he got a loaner 850!! I think they actually replaced the padded part of the dash.

I'm going to be very interested in the S60 after it's been out for a year or two - it's even nicer than the S70.

I almost pulled the trigger.....

on a S60 T5. It was $7000 more than the Maxima though and not that much faster, and it was smaller to boot. I like the exterior styling more though, a little more distinctive.
