KYB AGX on a '02

I have been researching which struts to get with my eibach springs, and I read somewhere on this board that the modified KYB AGX on a '02 with eibach has some fitment problems. I can't find anymore information on this....anyone who can help please give me some info. Is there a strut like the KYB AGX made for the '02 that doesn't have to be modified. (sorry about another suspension question)

I believe the Tokico Performance struts, non-adjustable, are the only option for the 5th gen max at the moment. I read previously that Koni was supposed to have there adjustable struts out soon after Xmas, but I have yet to see anything else regarding that. KYB AGXs are supposed to be out late summer and Tokico has no info as to wether or not they plan to produce Illuminas for the Max. My best advice is to wait for either the Konis or the KYB AGXs. The lack of a good strut for the 5th gen is the main reason why I haven't lowered it yet. I'm getting to the point where I might just buy the JIC FLT-A2 and get everything I could possible want, except a fat wallet that is.

Cattman has the setup that will allow you to put the KYB AGX adjustable struts on your 02. Should run you about $5oo or so if I remember correctly. And they work great.

How about you buy 4th gen AGXs, and grind out a lil bit on the strut mounting holes, maybe 1/4" or so, and they fit.
As for upper mount, you can use a 4th gen mount or you can use your stock ones and grind a bit off the bottom where the strut gets mounted. Its worked for several .org memebers, Maximus75 did mine for me, and he even installed ground controls on my AGXs

GR2's are also a direct fit on the 5th gens.
