2k2 Missing Part to Rear Fenderwell?
I had the rear of my 2k2 jacked up today and I noticed what seems to be part of the fenderwell missing.
On the rear, driver side fenderwell, where the gas pipe leads down from the filler point; I noticed a bracket with two attachment points and another farther down with a clip. Does anyone else see this? Am I missing part of my rear fenderwell?
Thank for your help.

It's a plastic cover for your fuel filler neck. It prevent's it from getting damaged and it keeps dirt out from behind your fuel door.
2k1's to 2k3's didn't come with one. (cost savings) I bought one for my max from the dealer for about $30-$40 (I forget exactly). It took about 5mins to install. I definitely reccomend it.

Try to get it done under warranty...it's an obvious defect with the car since slush and crap keep getting into the fuel door thing. The dealer wouldn't do it under warranty for me even though the 2k1's on their lot had them, but I called Nissan NA and they reimbursed me.

2k2 Missing Part to Fenderwell??
Newman - :-) Money savings or just a bad day at the plant!!
2k2wannabe – Thanks for the link, I see where I should have used the search function.
GMAN01SE & Wasim521 – Thank you for the explanation, I am heading to my dealer today to say something about the dirt and sand in my fuel filler door. Hopefully they won’t give me much hassle. Seems like it would be a safety concern with the fuel pipe exposed like that. But I do understand about ice, snow, and salf getting caught in behind.
Thanks for all your respponces and help!
