black housing headlights?

i'm thinking about painting my headlight housing black on my black car.... does anyone have a pic of that or has seen a max like that? or would it look wack with black on black.....

There was some guy who did it. I don't know who, but do a search and see if you can find it.

Some guy I did it on my white car and it looks good, check out my cardomain page, that is if cardomain decides to be up...

I do recall seeing something like that around here. While at first they look interesting, there is something about them that has that raccoonish/Zorro-ish black mask around the 'eyeballs' look that might get old as you live with them that way.

yeah i saw them on kpazzo6's car..but what i wanted to kno was if it would look ok on a black car..it looks great on a white car..

i saw a pic of a 2k2 owner who painted the inside headlight housing black & i thought it looked good....if only i can remember his org name

can someone tell me HOW to paint it? like what paint i should use..and what applicator to use so that it looks smooth? where to buy this stuff

Spray can! Buy high temp paint and spray it and then buy clear high temp paint to make it look shiney

i just used krylon spray paint--- it doesn't drip so it came out very smooth

BTW: i did 2 applications

K will be doing mine as soon as I can get my headlights to him. I didn't ask, but is it going to be a flat black or glossy black? I'm guessing flat black would be better.

i dont know..i'm not decided yet on anything...that's why i wanted to see pics or get opinions from people about whether i should or not....i think it'll look good..but i havent' seen black housign on a black maxima yet....

i have a glossy finish and phatman5050 has more of a flat finish. I can upload some pics if you want to see the difference.

i think mzmtg (sp?) has instructions on his webpage, only its for a 4th gen....i dont know if this will help.....

This is how the lights will look after painting them black. I did it this past weekend and it turned out to look like AE lights

Haha your car is like mine, except I my car is white. I have AE style lights, front valance, clear corners, what looks to be a radar detector, and also a graduation thingy (mine says 2002) hung in my rear view mirror
