Not to point out anyone in particular, but for those w/ the pix of their cars, could you at least miniaturize them? Trying to read some of the posts just drags because of the pix.

Not all of us have the luxury of super fast internet connection.

Why not just stick the pix in "reader's ride" section or something? Got a new pic for your car and you're excited about sharing it?? Post a message for people to look at it, but don't stick it w/ every reply.

I can certainly understand 'How to do" pix and there certainly is a place for that in this format.

Sorry for the rant, but come on people, do we really need to see the same frickin car 5 times in a totally unrelated post?????

ssshh!!! kev!! dont blow my cover!!

p.s. lil trivial fact, my sig only takes about 13k and the lil banner at the top that says "maxima.org" is 17k.

p.p.s. the forums load fine for me on a 56k connecting at 26.4...

thats still 13K as a gif. turn it into a jpg with 40-50 compression and it should be 6-7K with very little loss. I have ImageReady2 and would be happy to reduce it for you if you like.

Text only version?

I dont have the problem of waiting with my T1 connection here at work , although it is hard to be discreet about it with huge Maximas on my monitor. Unless Im doing a Nissan advertisment. This is one of the best forums Ive seen, although it would also be cool if there was a generic text only version for those with slow connections, or trying to be discreet at work. Im not complaining at all, just a thought. Hopefully I will have a pic of mine soon, although its not much to see compared to some of yours.

Oops.. just read this post now.. You're right.. I totally neglect to think about all of the slow internet connections out there.. I am an offender of the repeated picture in sig postings.. Ill stop that from now on.
