Well after posting last night about the check engine light coming on after install of the Place Racing CAI, I took the advice given and disconnected the battery and left it unhooked all night. This morning I put it back on and the light went off, so I thought that everything was cool. But then after 15 or so miles and about three times cranking the car the light came back on. I am getting really aggrivated because i don't know what is going on and Place Racing won't call me back. Any advice?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Place Racing to call you back.

First thing I'd do is take everything apart and reinstall the CAI carefully. If that doesn't work, remove the CAI and reinstall your stock airbox. If that fixes the problem, sell your CAI and check out the link in my signature that says 5th Gen CAI. If that doesn't fix the problem, I'm not sure what to tell you to do. Ordinarily I'd suggest you take your car in to your dealer for service. But I assume you cut a hole in the fender to install the CAI. So unless your dealer is blind, they're going to know that you did "something" to the car.

Anybody else have any suggestions?

This is just a guess, but it's probably something to do with the mass airflow sensor or inlet temperature sensor. I'm not sure if the 5th gen is the same as the 4th, but there is a site (found it on usenet doing a search for "maxima check engine") that has information on resetting the check engine light as well as the diagnostics codes that it will give you...

Resetting the check engine light will make the dashboard MIL blink a code that will tell you exactly what the computer is sensing. This will give you a better idea of what to check. Don't bet on Place Racing helping you...

Best regards,
Bingo
