I know we can disconnect the negative terminal ... but I remember reading a thread way back when about pumping the brake pedal?

I just got the b-pipe from Budget w/o the resonator and I want to reset the ECU.

Tkx!

Oh ... I did do a search ... I got to page 7 of my search on 'reset ecu*' ... http://forums.maxima.org/search.php?...g&pagenumber=7 ... but I can't find the right thread!

I don't think there is any other way. I am not even sure if disconnecting the battery ACTUALLY resets the ECU. Is there a way to test something like that?

Too bad you are not in NY. When Jeff (Maximus75 of Maximum Tuning) installed my intake he plugged in his handy dandy computer and reset that puppy in less than a minute!

Disconnecting the battery does reset the ECU, but the time it needs to be disconnected in order for the ECU to reset varies from Gen to Gen. I believe,in the 2Ks, you need 24hours for the backup battery in the ECU to discharge...or you can just rack up some miles...do a search.
