M1 Motorsport will do the 2k2 turbo kits for $3500

I talked to the owner of M1 Motor Sport at El Monte, CA, he also owns Arcade 1 in Lifeplaza, Rowland Heights, CA. I went to Arcade 1 to find him and asked him about the 02 turbo kits cuz i know they do the custom turbo kits. He said the price would be around $3000 to $3500, the turbo will be put on the left side of the throttle body. He said it will include all the piping that needs to be done. The turbo itself manufactured by Blitz and all the pipings were made out of T-304 stainless steel by them. I think it's a pretty nice deal, what do u guys think?

thanks

I dont understand the issue of it fitting on the left side? There is no room there. Only place I see room is where everyone puts it, right where the batter sits.

Left side of throttle body is the intake manifold and that goes all the way to the power steering tank.

No way for it to fit where the supercharger goes on the 2k-2k1 cars. Piping wouldnt fit.

i think his left side is the passengerside, cuz i looked at my engine today, it will be on ur left if u face the front, but if u sit in the car, it will be on ur right.

if you do a search on turbo kits and price... everyone always says $3500 and then they end up at $4000 or more.. then they start cost cuttings and making changes.. just and FYI

As you can see here from Ethan's pic, the the left side of the throttle body is the intake manifold and then just no more space.

Only space is on the right and below the throttle body if you look at the picture. Like I said, only way to do it is the same way the 4th gen people have been doing it.

If he thinks he can get it on somewhere else, im skeptical about it.

has he actually done one??? I'll believe it when I see it. I started saving up work bonus-money and now have enough to buy a kit, but I get the feeling I'll also have enough to pay someone to install it by the time there actually is a kit to install.

they've done lots of custom turbo kits and my friend's 2k maxima did the turbo kits at their place, the price was $3200. They r very confident to make the turbo kits for 2k2 maxes, he also looked under my hood, he said it will be tough but they can do it. They've done lots turbo kits for Japnese and Eropean cars, the owner is a japanese and he spoke poor English too =D
