This is still a dumba$$ question no offense. Search the forum and look for what people have done.

I cant really sit here and explain what you can do to make it badazz. Sky is the limit. Put your mind to work and do what you want.

Check the dyno's

I briefly looked through the dyno's section and there is a 99 5 speed that has several mods (the most important being a 100 shot of NOS) which yielded 295.3HP/384.9TQ. Pretty impressive numbers.

Go on ebay and by a skyline motor and convert it to AWD. Then get some 12 inch 100 spoke rims. That will really set you apart.

Badest maxima and No expense spared?? Ok now thats just dumb, but maybe there is a solution to it.

1. Make a Tornado swirling thingee out of the coke can from the recycle bin, and install it. (3HP gain)

2. Remove Y-pipe, Cat, and the rest of the exhaust system. (10HP gain)

3. Remove air filter and put some cotton ***** in as FREE FLOW FILTERS (5HP gain) Better than K&N

4. Stripe down whatever you don't need on your car, Seats, windows, radio, air temp, etc. (Reduce weight by 800Ib)

Gurantee to be IMPROVED in performance over any stock Maxima

While it may be a dumb question to people who have been modding cars from birth...and while nobody can sit here and list mod for mod what is cool or whatever, we could at least respond to the guy with a little more respect. (some of you). Anyways, njmartinw, you need to figure out what YOU like and what YOU want to do. Do you want fast car? Do you want to just turn heads? Or both? When I started, I wanted stuff that made the car fast...made it look good and basically transform it into what I wanted. No matter what anyone else says about it, you have to live with what you do to it every day. That's all I got to say.

Oh yeah, P.S.- try to avoid gimmicks, HUGE STICKERS and cars like Kevins.

Yes, as a newbie, we all suggest you search, there are thousands of threads on performance mods and whats good and whats not. Some of the older members here aren't as patient as me, and can be quite rude in their responses. ignore them and just search. but look under superchargers, ypipes, exhaust, and suspension work to help you get started.

For a speed comparison between a 00 and a 99, look for the dyno threads by SteVTEC called
Gen4 vs Gen5 VQ30 Performance: The Final DYNO Showdown

Which one of the two body styles do you like more? (Look up some of the top cars on cardomain.)

and don't forget about all the stickers.... ohh ya the most important of all racing stripe... that alone will add 50 HP...

Cut a hole in the trunk lid, remove rear seat back, extend trunk pass-through opening to make the area wider, install blast shield behind front row seats, install air scoops and requisite tubing on the B-pillar running into the rear seat area, install auxiliary fuel tanks, fabricate mounting hardware and necessary installation harware, obtain half scale jet engine, install said engine.

"No expense spared"?? I am guessing that you have somewhat of a limited budget, because if you didn't, you would be buying a 2K3.

99's and 00's are relatively different. If you want to go crazy with mods, go with the 99, because there are more available.

And when you say "baddest on the road", do you mean fastest? Or best looking?

Personally, I actually like jjs' idea. No one has done that before.
