19" Mas Sagittas?

19" Mas Sagitta on 5th Gen??
I'm seriously considering these wheels for my 02 SE. I'm not sure if the 10 spoke style will look good and compliment the Maxima's lines though. I've seen these wheels in 19" on an 02 Camry and they looked tight. Any thoughts on the quality of these wheels as well as how they'd look on a white 5th Gen (any photochopper's out there???)? Any one have any hook ups for these wheels?

Here's a pic of the wheel and a link to a 5 series Bimmer with 19" Sagittas on it. Thanks!

MAS Sagitta

If you go up a level on the Bimmer link, there's about 5 other cars with these same rims in various sizes. They must be popular in Europe.

If you click on the second picture, you'll get a larger image.

I think those rims look awesome.... what is the dimension? 19 X 8? make sure you get 245 or 255 tires with the wheels.

I was thinking of the exact same wheels and had the same reservations about them. I have seen the bimmer pic before but was still unsure about how they would look on the Max.

Mas Sagitta 18x8 24.3lbs Not bad

If you go with those let us know.

Yep, 19x8. Next size up is 19x9.5. I'd go 245/35-19 tires. I was told 40mm is the correct offset. Does that sound about right? Thanks.

I saw a 5 series Bimmer with these wheels in 20" today at lunch. It looked great. One of my co-workers owns the Camry with these wheels and has an extra 18" version he'll let me borrow to test fit to see what it would look like. I want to make sure I like these before laying out the $$$. (Best of $270/ea so far...Lumbee, have you gotten any better pricing?)

Thanks for all the positive comments.

I am humbled and honored by the Grandmaster's acceptance!!

I do plan on eventually lowering the car...that's a whole other topic...ride quality vs. looks!

Grandmaster Bling.... ?? Good one. It's a wheel that has a good mix of class and bling, which is a must on any true Max ! ...

I believe I called them and they said they don't carry them anymore. I called 3 or 4 places that showed them in their advertising in "Sport Compact" magazine and most of them said that Mas is not importing into the US anymore.

I got the $270 price from Spy Engineering. They said they wouldn't have any until late February.

Wheel Warehouse said they have them and wouldn't quote me a price on the phone (silly games!). They said "our prices are so low the manufacturers don't want us to quote them". Yeah, right... I may go down there tomorrow to see what kind of deals they'll cut.

Kloogy, how's the ride on your 19's? What springs are you running? The only thing holding me back is wondering how the ride will be. I know that by going the Eibach/AGX combo on my 97 with 225/55-16s, the ride is quite firm.

Looks like there I may be out of luck as Mas stopped importing them and no one seems to have them. Too bad...

Anyone know of a similar rim design?

Here's a 300ZX with the Sagittas in 17". Looked good..

The guy that has these on the Camry had them chromed and is willing to sell the sagittas with tires for $1K. Does that sound like a good deal? Anyone know if the fitment on a Camry is the same as a Max? I believe they are both 5x114.3 and the offsets should be close. I'm not sure about the hub size though and if hubcentric rings are available for the Mas wheels since they're not imported anymore (The fact they're not imported here anymore is a bit of a concern if one of teh wheels gets wacked.

Thoughts? Thanks!

Those are pretty tight. I think your original guess for wheel and tire size is more accurate, also for keeping your speedo error down to a minumum. I'd go for more offset, like 35mm...

You mean the 245/35 tires and overall tire height in relation to the stockers? The rims are 19x8, I believe, with 245/35 tires.

I'm not sure about the hub size and need for hubcentric rings and the specific offset. Since most sources list an optimal offset for the Camry at 35-38mm, I think they'll be OK. (I'll physically check the inside of the rim for an offset stamping)

Does a 35mm offset "tuck" the rims in more?

Puts it out more towards the fenders...
