Cleaning Berk Intake Filter

Sorry if this has been discussed before. I was wondering if anyone has had problems with their MAF failing after cleaning their Berk intake. I'm at 42k on my Max with the stock MAF and don't want to be on the list of failed MAFs. Of course I'll go easy on the reoiling of the filter.

Search under K&N filter, as I am assuming this is what is on your intake. It doesn't have anything to do with the Berk part of it.

ive cleaned my filter that came with the berk and used it for about 3k miles with no problems. i ended up loaning it blubyu2k2 for some runs at the track then sold it to replace it with another k&n filter. just be very conservative with the amount of oil you use on it, i only had a little left in my can luckily. if you dont want to risk you can purchase another, that filter runs around $35.

Oil is what causes MAF problems. Do not over oil the filter. Make sure to cover everything abd after your done, rest the filter on a paper towel for few our and let oit leak out. just turn once in a while.
