My 01 SE has 78k miles on it and like other people, I had a problem with the O2 Sensor. I've done research on this and found out that the when the O2 sensor was replaced (which is out of warranty) that Nissan would reprogram your ECM (at their expense/under warranty). My dealership told me that it wasn’t covered under any warranty so I called Nissan Corp last Thursday. The customer service rep told me that the dealership was mistaken and they would call the dealership to explain that what was covered. Now I find out from Nissan Corp that the reprogramming of the ECM isn’t covered.

I need help/guidance on this one. A dealership in TX told me over the phone that the reprogramming the ECM is covered but I can’t get Nissan Corp to listen. Has anyone else had similar problems with their O2 sensor AND had the ECM reprogrammed covered under warranty??? If so, let me know which dealership so I can use the info as a reference. Any other suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated!!!
