Help! My maxima make grinding noise when I brake.....

First I thought my brakes were worn out but is not. It's like very quite grinding noise comes out from my brake depending on how I step on brake. I checked my brakes but it didn't seems like it's worn out.....did this ever happened to anybody??

Have you had your Break Pads replaced before? If so the stock pads may not have been put on, and aftermarket pads may not have been able to handle the heat and may have glazed over... Thats what happened to me.

Get some OE pads and put them on, or have the dealer do it. This solved by problem.

I hope it is not the differential bearings.

i think it's because of the body kit.

don't mind me, i'm just being a dumb ****...
but to be serious, it could possibly be the piston in your brakes are slightly damaged, or your brake pads are cracked, or like someone has mentioned earlier (wheel bearings). and it could possibly be your shims too.. you never know.. what type of grinding noise is it? does it only occur when the car is coming to a stop as you apply the brakes, or does it still make that sound when your car is stopped with you somewhat pumping the brakes?

if it is making a grinding noise while you are coming to a stop then it could possibly be that your brake pads on the inside are totally worn out and you just don't see it, or it could be a piece of debris stuck between the pad and the rotor (i know it sounds odd to have stuff sandwiched in between the pad and the rotor because there's virtually no gap in between but i've seen gravel stuck in between before).

have your brakes been bleed lately? is the fluid clear?
