At what point does car care become ridiculous obsession?

At what point does car care become ridiculous obsession?
So it's midnight here, and just over 40 degrees outside - and I just finished washing my car. This is made even more ridiculous by the fact that it was sprinkling slightly during the wash - and tomorrow I'm driving a couple hundred miles, ensuring that I'll get bugs and road goo on my car that'll have to be washed off tomorrow night.
Sigh - this can't be healthy; my wife thinks I'm insane...

I think your wife is getting jealous because your spending too much time with the maxima. (J/K,don't take it personal.) Your out at midnight in 40 degree weather washing your car? You must "LOVE" your maxima.
