Ok guys, I am pretty new to doing engine mods to my Max, but I am fairly handy in a garage. I am planning on having the Alpine Developments SC installed (when it becomes available). My question is what mods should I make to my Max prior to doing this, and in what order? I know that I will have to bullet-proof my auto tranny, but I just want to know what else you guys think I should do!

 

Well, I am gonna suggest do a search. It will be more beneficial to you in the long run and I am sure more people will possibly not be as nice about it. In my opinion, you want to start with exhaust, intake, some stiffer front struts, tranny hardening...maybe a tranny cooler. I am sure there could be more, but I am tired.

 

The Y-pipe and CAI should be the first mods if you want to get extra hp out of your VQ engine.
