Polk EX3500 tweeters for $65/pair!
Just ordered some from carstereotime.com; here's the URL:

you know, honestly, just about any 4 ohm tweeter will work for this. If you buy the $49 pioneers, you wont be gaining much at all. If you get into the $75-150 range, youre talking higher end and worth doing. again, anything .75 to 1 inch with crossover at 12db around 4-6K and you'll have a nice setup.
the small size, high crossover point and single cap (6db crossover) are what is holding back the stock tweeter from any real clarity and depth.
Also, this upgrade isnt for everyone.. if you are missing the highend then they will help. If you thought it was just fine before, you'll end up with too much highend and end up taking most of it right back out. it will still sound more clear and have less distortion, but most of the value (in terms of what you spend) will be gone.

They definitely state "pairs"...
I'll let everyone know if they're "B" stock or otherwise deficient when they arrive in a few days.

I now another user on the board got the kicker R13 awhile ago and said that they were pretty good. Have you or anyone else decided on an acceptable replacement or just go down to Circuit City and pay the $35 in stock fee?
www.wholesaleconnection.com has them for $79 not sure about tax and shipping though. Who knows about in stock either.

I just sent a reply stating that the Kicker R190 is only $39 at https://www.onlinecarstereo.com. We'll see what kind of response they give in return. I'm still not sure if I want to go that route either. I knew from looking at Polk's site or someplace that the EX3500 was discontinued. Maybe I can use this to my advatage at Circuit City?

I was told that if I just replace the tweet that it wouldn't make any difference. You need the cross over also. Can someone help me here, because I really want these tweets if that isn't true.
