I'm interesting in buying another maxima but i want something that's 2000 - 2001 with the VQ30DE instead of the 35. What are some of the performance stats on a 5 speed?
0-60 time
quater
top end speed
gear ratio?

how much slower is the 2000 - 2001 than the 2002-2003 Max? With 3.5 liter making 255 horses, running the60 in 6 flat and a quater in the 14.6's (am i close?)

and another question, if you think the 33 horses isn't that much of a factor and the 5 isn't off the 6 by that much, what type of mods u think i need to make a 2000 max keep up with the 6 speed 2003's?

i'm not very good at using this search, i tried to put in "2001 performance stats", "2001 track results" and a few other variation and i didn't get anything that's worth while, maybe a little enlightment or just some stats?

 

0-60: 5speed - mid to high 6's
Automatic - high 7's
1/4: 5speed - low to mid 15's
Automatic - around 16 flat
top speed: varies with the models, if the car came with H rated tires, then the ecu governs your speed at 130mph, but if you have better than h rated tires, then it should pull a little higher than that... some people have seen 140 or so..
gear ratios: use the search engine, the 4th gen and 5th gen (00-01) have the same tranny gearing
