brakes, ping, and warranty

I'm starting to experience brake jitter and handling problems on my 2k SE. Also getting that ping at certain speeds. I have read the TSB's and unfortunately I have 38k and the warranty is up. Going to the dealer next week for a check up. Anyone have luck getting Nissan to replace brakes and coils after expiration of the warranty? Good replacement for brakes? Struts? All suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Coil replacement shouldn't be a prob, if you have a extended warranty. Dealer wanted to charge me $560 for coil replacement on my 2k GXE. The brakes will not be covered and the dealer won't bend on that. Go aftermarket instead. Better stopping power.
