H3 PIAA Spark Blue? or Super Plasma

Are these fog lights legal? Would they look to blue and be a magnet?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=1498

I will be replacing my ion yellow fog lights for the spark blue or super plasma. What ones will match the 2k2 hid's better? THX in advance for the help.

Well, I've never seen them on a car but 7500K sounds REALLY blue!

As far as what matches the HIDs, I along with several others on the .Org tend to agree that the Extreme whites are the best match of the PIAAs (4150K).

I would be really curious to see these, if you do get them post some picks!

actually, it's the super plasma's that are more of a match, isn't it. well, who's to argue...i have the super plasma's on mine and they seem to match fine. in a post awhile back, we compared the extreme whites with super plas and i think it was agreed that super plas were the best match. pic below of super plas w/super plas clearance lights.

So, which bulbs are the best to go with?? I am looking to replace my stock fog, high-beam, and clearance lights to better match the HIDs. Should I go with Super Plasmas or Extreme Whites??

This has been debated much in the .Org. I seemed to find more people who thought the Extremem whites were a better match. They look great to me and are VERY white. The the Plasmas are 5000k and the Extremes(actually "Xtreme") are 4150K. This would lead me to beleive that the Plasmas have more of a bluish tinge to them (PoLo correct me if I'm wrong) where as the Xtreme whites are just WHITE.

Do a search and I'm sure you'll find a ton of opinions on them both. However, if you were originally considering the 7500K ones, you might lean toward the Plasmas. Here's the color chart:

What ever you decide, ANYTHING is better than the crappy yellow ones that the car comes with!

you're absolutely right...they do give off a slight bluish hue, and the extreme whites try to pusha close to white color. the thing to note is that the HID's themselves are not a dead white. they also have a slight bluish hue to them. i believe stock HID's are 4500k.

i guess it's to each person his own. you go extreme white, you'll be lower on the K scale. you get plasma, you'll go higher on the K scale.

and again like you said, at the end, both are better than stock.

Thanx for the help fellas! I think I'm going to go with the Xtreme Whites...I'd rather have a more pure white to go with the HIDs than a blue tint that might conflict with the HIDs. How about for the fogs and clearance lights?? What are some suggestions?? Do they have the Xtreme Whites for those as well?? What are the opinions of yellow fogs to mimic the "Lexus" look??

Stick with the factory ones.

Here's a good place to get PIAAs:

Options Auto Salon

But when I just checked the link they had a message describing how some orders didn't go through. Oh well, the prices are good!

Thanx for the hook-up. Do you know off hand what bulb sizes I need for the fogs, highbeams, and clearance?? I'm at work and the car is at home.

actually, check out autobarn.net or google search it. the piaa's are at a sick price there. cheapest anywhere. i think the fogs were like 31 per bulb, 62/pair compared to 75+ at other sites. that's the cheapest i found.
hard to find these prices cause autobarn dont' pop up that much on google searches, but it's there and the prices are very good.

9005

PIAA makes Xtreme whites in this size but they are 4000K in temp. I put them in and they have a *slight* yellowish tinge to them next to the HIDs. Don't get me wrong, they are whiter than the stocks, but not as pure white as the Xtreme Fogs. I didn't think that 150K would make any difference but it did.

However, they project very white and are definatly brighter than the factory highs. I think they were worth it (present from g/f) but I really wish they were 4150K. Perhaps there is a better bulb out there?

I just ordered PIAA Xtreme's(9005) for high beams from optauto.com. Did I make a mistake? Are they yellowish?

Don't get me wrong, they are good bulbs but they are not as white as the H3 bulbs:

I think I was too close so that's why the picture sucks, but you get the idea.
