More Fuel Efficient

Increase your tire pressure, espcecially the fronts. Make the fronts like 37-40 psi, and the rears 35.
Synthetic oil 5W30.
K&N panel filter.
Try not to use your AC. If you have the auto-climate control, leave it on Economy. Economy does everything that auto does, without the use of the AC compressor. Of course, ona hot day, that may be impossible.
Keep your windows closed on the highway for the smoothest aerodynamic flow.
Feather the throttle when accelerating.
Use the cruise control often on the highway.
Every little bit helps

My 2 cents worth:
1) Accelerate moderately until you are in top gear and stay there as long as possbile - don't pass or race.
2) Use the highest octane fuel available to keep the spark curve advanced
3) Inflate tires to the maximum listed on the side wall
4) Use another vehicle for city driving (your bicycle?)
