How To Make Sure That Your Headlights Are Sealed Properly.

i just put my headlights back together..and i was wondering if there was any way to make sure that they are sealed properly. is just putting sealant around the edges good enough? i'm a little scared because when i opened up the lights, i retarded the plastic around there..so it's not really a snug fit. i tried to make up for it by putting a lot of sealant on there, but i'm a little worried. anything else i can do?

Some sort of Rubber sement would do I imagine. Do it in a hot enviornment so all the air/moisure gets out of the housing.

Actually, from what I've read it is best to do it in a cold / low humidity environment. If you do it when it is hot the air that is trapped in the head lights can be humid and start to fog once you take it out in the cold tempurature.

Some people on my friend's Honda Accord board take them into the shower to test the seal before it is on the car. Then again, they have to take their whole bumper off in order to take out the head lights!
