Mod questions for the 'experts'

OK... I have a new '03 SE, and I am interested in giving it a little 'pep'.

I briefly looked over the various mods and such, and I am only interested in a *small* amount of modifications... mainly performance.

I think the total amount of mods I want to do are put on the headers and exhaust systems I've seen, add a nice intake system (with a K&N, etc), and maybe change the computer.

What I would like to hear are testimonies from those of you who have put mods on your Maxima and have had them long term (i.e., more than one year)... and whether or not they have had a positive OR negative impact on your performance... wear and tear of the vehicle, etc... and if anything was damaging or you would suggest NOT to do, especially since I have a 100k mile warranty and do not wish to jeopardize anything with the dealer.

Thanks!

Re: Mod questions for the 'experts'

Intake, headers, y-pipe, b-pipe, test pipe... none will hurt your car and will give you a nice power increase.

You will start messing with your car more and will require preventative measures be followed the day you go forced air/nitrous.

You'll be more pleased with replacing your suspension first. In order of mods to do:

Rear Sway Bar (RSB)
FrankenCar intake with Apexi filter
Underdrive Pulley from UR
Front Strut Bar (FSTB)
Shocks and Springs
Y and B pipe
