Pillar Gauge Questions ??

Don't flame me. I've tried looking everywhere for a simple, plain english answer to gauges and what they will do in my fairly stock 2k2. I have no plans for a turbo or s/c, I just really want the gauge pod look. Can anyone explain what a Boost, EGT and Air Fuel Gauge will do in my 2K2??

Boost will just be a needle show back and forth in vaccuum all teh time

EGT will show normal operating temps and is useful info IMHO but NA is unneeded

A/F Ratio is going to be a light show and will only change under WOT...going peak all teh way to rich side...

basic information is good but you may depending on the driving type you are benefit from oil pressure or voltmeter or tranny temp gauge better but it is up to you and what you are willing to pay...I know all too well how expensive the toys can get.

If you are going to do a stereo, you could get Volt and Amp meters. They could actually be useful in that case, warning you of a problem before it causes any serious damage.
