Parking Brake Handle

I was wondering if any of you had to adjust your parking brake handle when your car was relatively still new. I have a 2K3 with about 5K miles on it and if I remember correctly the parking brake handle always seemed to pull up a little too high.

I think the adjusting screw can easily be turned to fix the problem but I was wondering if other cars experienced this too.

Thanks

I don't have that. Mine is tight, it grabs almost immediately. I have 1,300 miles on the car.

Yeah I had that same problem when my car had 12,000 miles on it and the dealer adjusted it. But it's back now with about 18K on the odo. Maybe I'm pulling to hard but I'm not sure.

I don't remember the exact number of clicks but I think its supposed to be somewhere in the range of 9 - 12. Mine is 14. Maybe someone with an ESM can give some guidance. Thanks.
