Fellows Plastic Protector.....

Does anyone know where you can get some plastic with adhesive on the back side? Something similar to a Fellows plastic protector for a PDA, only but I need it in a larger form.

Ok so by now I'm sure you're asking how does this pretain to the Max? Well I would like to make a screen protector for my Navi screen. Anyone have some insight on this subject?

These are for a 10.4" touchscreen, so you'll have to cut them a little. Five pack for $29.95. http://store.viewsonic.com/html/ibeC...54900EA679A1BB

I would avoid your standard PDA writeright type material. Its adhesive and in the heat of the car could have undesirable results. Plus, you could damage the touchscreen membrane trying to remove it.

That leave you with the type mentioned by Uconn411. Those appear to clip in on the sides.

If I were you, I'd try to find a large enough piece of this stuff

these are washable, more durable and arent adhesive. They just cling to the LCD (if the LCD is clean). but the downside is that kind of material is more expensive.

Cleaning Cloth for Navigation Screen

Uconn411 and TimW thanks for the suggestions but i've decided to take another route.

I stopped at Best Buy to see what they suggested and they suggested some Digital Camera / Camcorder LCD cleaner, however, they were out of stock. So i decided to check out CompUSA to see what they suggested but the only thing they could come up with was some cleaner towelets that had alcohol in them and in the owners manual it says not to use anything that has that in it. To make a longer story short i searched around and came across a 3M Microfiber Electronics Cloth. It was hanging on the end of one of their aisles. I paid $9.99 for it. Also, there were some Scotch-Brite Cleaning Cloths there also, they were $14.99. The cloth works great, you barely have to apply any pressure for it to clean the screen.

Details on front of package:
Safely removes dust, smudges & fingerprints without messy sprays! Effective after 100s of washings.

Details on back of package:
Unique 3M microfibers lift dust and oils from surfaces without the use of messy sprays. Ideal for computers, keyboards, monitors, PDA's, camera lenses, audio and video components. Saves money! The cloth is reusable and machine washable hundreds of times. There is no need to buy special sprays, polishes of pre-moistened wipes. Non-scratching, non-linting.
