Alignment on brand new TiSE

I picked up my new Ti SE '03 Max on Saturday.

First thing I noticed is that it needs an alignment.
If I point the wheel straight, it pulls moderately to the left, and there is a noticable wheel vibration at 65MPH.
I didn't pay them until I had them write it on the contract that this problem must be fixed.
The sales man was very helpful and will personally pick up my car from my work location to have it fixed at my convenience.

BUT isn't this strange that a brand new car with 10 miles on it needs an aligment and wheel ballance.
Your thoughts and comments please?:mad

My brake rotors were warped at less than 1000 miles. I picked up the car with 212 miles so I don't know what was done in that time period.

Actually, not really. They probably do perform some fundamental tasks like that to get the thing off the line on on the boat, but as far as full highway speeds, likely not. Perhaps they have come to some kind of base spec (as in using the 'little white dot' on the wheels to standardize tire mounting/balancing) wherein most cars will ride just fine but there may be slight differences in the actual weights of certain wheels and/or tires that could be out just enough.

Just thoughts....
