How to clean Injen?
Hey everyone...I did a search on this but I didn't find what I was looking for.
I was thinking about getting an injen intake, but before I did I wanted to know how difficult it would be to clean the intake. Can anyone give me details on what that process is like? Thanks.

The filter that comes with the injen cai is simply just a pre oiled K&N filter. Maintenance is to clean and reoil every 50k or so. You can find more information on products on the k&n website.

Yeah, the filter
Yeah, I wanted info on cleaning the filter. But I wanted to know how to get the filter out of the car to clean it. I know how to clean a K&N, I have one of the panel ones in my car right now.

you have the method of taking the entire lower end of the intake piping off to get the filter out, or you can remove the panel under the driver's side of the front bumper underneath the car and the filter sits right above that. It's a much easier way, imo to pull the little brackets off and unscrew 2 screws to get that black undercover off than taking the intake piping out..

I've got one on my '02 and I just did 2 installs on an '00 and '01 this week, and the 00-01 install took a bit more than mine.. nothing that can't be done in 45 minutes though. almost broke my elbow taking the resonator box off the '00 though by hitting it on the transmission..
